#Review- The Renegade Wife By Caroline Warfield

The Renegade Wife (Children of Empire Book 1) by [Warfield, Caroline]If you like an emotional historical romance oh do I have a book for you, The Renegade Wife by Caroline Warfield. I seriously could not put this book down. I found myself engrossed in the story line from the beginning and only more mesmerized as I read on.

Meggy Blair is the type of women that I could not help but admire. This lady will do anything to protect her children. She loves them with all of her heart. She is trying to hard to be independent and not fear for her life and her children's life. Just when I think things are working out for her then something else happens. This poor women and her kids go through the mill. That she is able to get through all the trauma, drama, and horrible experiences and yet be a wonderful mother is amazing.

Rand Wheatly has an incredibly rough exterior but is a complete softy on the inside.  He doesn't expect to find Meggy and her children in his home when he returns from a business trip. He doesn't expect to care what happens to them either. He does though oh my he does.

Meggy's kids are adorable and so smart. They know what to do in many situations they should not have to endure. When they get the chance to meet other children they adjust well and fit in fine. I love stories with children because it adds so much to the story line when young one's are included.

When the going gets tough Rand is ready to fight for this family. Rand, Meggy and the kids go through a lot in this story.  I cried through the emotional moments, I smiled through the sweet scenes, and sat with bated breath through the dramatic moments. I truly could not put this book down. I had to see what could possibly go wrong next and how Meggy and Rand were going to make it through their next dangerous event.

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful story. This is book one in the Children of Empire series. I can not wait to see what Ms. Warfield may have in store for us lucky readers next. I know I will be anxiously awaiting her next release.

I was given the opportunity to read this wonderful story and it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.
